We have been informed by Board of Directors members in the field that the employer is distributing notices to employees advising them that the position they occupy is one that provides essential services.
Because CIU/PSAC will be mounting legal challenges to the Essential Service Agreement process we have conferred with PSAC Legal. They have informed us that members should sign the notice to acknowledge its receipt as there is nothing contained in the document that is prejudicial to any of the challenges we are pursuing.
