FB Bargaining Team Back at the Table For a Fourth Day

FB Bargaining

After negotiations that extended late into the evening of March 23, our bargaining team is back at the table today, Saturday March 24, for a fourth day in a row.

Thanks to the thousands of PSAC-CIU members who have expressed support and taken action as we fight for a fair contract, including the hundreds of officers from Quebec in Lacolle yesterday.

FB members perform law enforcement work. These men and women keep our borders safe, seize illegal weapons and drugs, and protect our communities. They deserve a fair contract.

On March 23, 2018, members of CIU and PSAC rallied at the Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle (QC) port of entry, in solidarity with the FB bargaining team, and with a clear message for the employer: After 1372 days without a contract, enough is enough.

Given that the employer contacted our PSAC Negotiator and indicated that it has a new mandate to return to the bargaining table, our Team is scheduled to meet with Treasury Board/CBSA to recommence negotiations this Wednesday, March 21.

Thanks again to all of the PSAC-CIU members from across the country who have participated in rallies and marches in support of achieving a fair contract. We’ll update as things progress.
