Attending the 21st CIU National Convention in Ottawa, Life Member Garth Brewer (New Brunswick & P.E.I. Branch) shared a heartfelt message with delegates:

Brother Mark; Brothers & Sisters:
(My apologies to our Francophone brothers and sisters
for my inability to speak and write your language properly.
I do not want to make mistakes in translation because
It is so important to be understood to be understood.)
As a union supporter, I do know the power of UNION
in Canada!!
Members, do not forget those who are not as fortunate
as PSAC members.
Having been a member of 1. Mine Mill and Smelter Workers;
2. United Steelworkers and 3. CEUDA/CIU, I know
the power of union.
My boots are UNION MADE, as is my underwear,
as is my 40-years-old shirt. My Tilly hats and
coat made in CANADA. It is possible to support
all workers in CANADA.
I look forward to helping organize the workers
at my Retirement Home.
My wife Dolly and I have engraved on our
Grave Stone “Solidarity Forever”.
